Album Notes

You can't keep him in his shoes. Hell, you can barely keep him on the ground if he's got a guitar in his hands. Brent Jordan is the product of southern blues and Carolina sunshine. Raised in the sandhills of North Carolina, he spent his childhood beneath the pine trees strumming chords and hanging out in the local music store hoping to learn a few things from the older men who would pick and play. He never worked to become a musician, he was just born one.

At 18 he left home and spent his college years chasing a degree that he never really intended to put to practical use. To him, music wasn't about classrooms and words on a page, music was about life. Driving too fast on the interstate with the windows down and Johnny Cash, painting his grandmas shutters with James Taylor, and talking broken hearts with Van Morrison.

Eventually, even the songs of his heroes did little to keep him content and he took to writing like a man possessed. Finding inspiration in the sincerity of his childhood and the honesty of a blue sky, he fought to put the hurricane inside his head on paper. His debut CD, “All the King' s Horses” is an autobiography of a modern day Huck Finn.

Brent opens his mouth and the biggest sound you've ever heard comes out of him. His voice has been known to bring people out of their seats and sing girls right out of their clothes. Numerous times his soulful words have convinced the pinstriped working world that a little toe tapping never hurt anyone. Friends know that he doesn't go far without his guitar...in recent years it's almost become an extension of his body. A second heart.

True to the man that wrote them, his songs are humble and honest. Brent's journey isn't about fame and fortune. His only wish is to spread the truth inside him to the world. He's a boy with a story to tell and one hell of a voice to tell it with.

I received this album about 3 weeks ago and it hasn't left my cd player & it has already been downloaded to my ipod. It is my favorite cd! I absolutely LOVE it! Cannot wait for the second one! My favorites are Thrift Store T-shirt & The Wilmington Song! Oh, heck...they're all my favorite :) I've even got my b/f who only listens to heavy metal listening to this.
