Album Notes

Forget the fame.
Forget the lights.
Forget the screaming.
Forget the hype.

Those aren't inspirations.

Brent Jordan writes from an old back porch,
while breaking in new shoes,
under the sheets,
above the trees.

Inspiration is found in those people and experiences that he just can't seem to shake.
In the battles of fallen friends, in the quiet space of his wife's arms.
He writes for everyone and no one.
He sings to remind us that life is a beautiful and painful road.
And his songs reach deep with an almost tangible humanity.
You can taste it on your tongue.
Feel it on your skin.

It's called passion,
and the boy's got it.

AMAZING! I think we played this CD for 3 days straight! Had more friends over, played it for them... on repeat until about 2 in the morning. I accidentally left it at home today and am contemplating a trip back to the house to get it! Thanks for putting out an amazing album.

I was fan of his on myspace and I just had to get the cd. When I got it in the mail it totally made my day and the songs are always, always, always stuck in my head. This guy is sincerely talented and a joy to listen to.

Excellent sophomore album by Brent Jordan. I was particularly impressed by the incorporation of piano and other instruments with Brent's vocal style and lyrics. It's hard to select a favorite track, but the top five for me would have to be Pretty Little Thief, John's Song, American Morning, Laugh in the Face of it All, and Across the World. If you are reading this review to decide whether to purchase this album or not - buy it! It will quickly become one of your most played CDs.

boy was this worth waiting for! I tried to write about one track but I love them all. Brent has the most distinctive voice around today, it's raw and makes you payt attention to the amazing words he writes. Like poetry with guitar. I can listen to his voice for hours - he takes you somewhere far away, unspoiled and wild country. Now I have to settle down and wait for the next album. Thankyou Brent
