After seven years in the making, Portland musician and producer Brent Rogers releases an eclectic blend of songs that were recorded by some of Portland's finest players.
The song writing on this release is thoughtful with memorable melodic passages that take the listener through various styles of music ranging from love songs to rock songs with a little country thrown in. This record is the result of seven years of love, loss, hope, renewal and ego sacrifice. From the opening song "Hey Miss Lene'" that was recorded with guitar and scat voice together, the love song "These Things" that features Brent's warm baritone vocals, the party tune "Jungle Song" to the dreamy ending duet with Stephanie Schneiderman in "By the Sea", the album delivers raw emotion packed with musical and vocal skills, and demonstrates Brent's ability to set a mood musically.
Some of the players who joined Brent on the recording include:
Tracy Klas, Carlton Jackson, Brian Foxworth, Stephanie Schneiderman, Margaret Slovak, Doug Smith, Skip vonKuske, Trevor Rasmussen, Steve Kerin, Richard Emmet, Brandy Lyn and Nick Kellogg.
