"ODE TO SCRUFFY" HITS NUMBER 1

After remaining for months on the Top Ten Most Requested List, comedian Brett Eidman’s new comedy song, “Ode To Scruffy” made number one on The Dr. Demento Show, a nationally syndicated radio comedy program. This little ditty is about a man and his dog, and anyone who ever had a dog as a pet just might get a kick out this…or they might be highly offended. Either way, Brett’s song seemed to hit a nerve with the public. ‘Scruffy’ can be found on the original release of Brett’s debut CD, "What's So F#@k'n Funny?”,or on this collectors item CD single. Brett is now signed to the Uproar Entertainment label,(www.uproarcomedycd.com). Brett also has one of the top downloaded comedy CD’s on iTunes.

Brett, a resident of West Nyack, NY is reinventing his comedy career after several past guest stints on Saturday Night Live, including the Michael Jordan episode, and Comedy Central. Brett is also a graduate of the highly acclaimed Second City, Chicago. Ode To Scruffy and several other comedy bits from Brett's, "What's So F#@k'n Funny?" CD have been featured regularly on Sirius and XM satellite radio. Brett has also been a guest on the highly acclaimed syndicated radio program, The Mancow Show.

Funniest Comic to come around in a long time
author: Todd Harrington
Brett EIdman is the funniest comedian to come around in a long time. As bold a statement as that is, I firmly believe it. "What's So F#@k'n Funny?" is an album that should carry a different kind of warning label than the Parental Advisory one that it already does. It should carry a warning against listening while operating a motor vehicle. As I was driving, I put on the album. I got to "The Priest Molestation Hotline" and laughed until I was choking and almost drove off of the road. From the wistful "Ode to Scruffy" to the plaintive "I Don't Like Bush", Eidman skillfully evokes tears of laughter and joy from his audience. Eidman is versatile in that he is as equally skilled at performing musical comedy as he is at comedic skits. As a concession to potential radio programmers, Eidman includes four bonus clean tracks of explicit songs also on the album. This single is a must if you don't want to spring for the entire album. You'll love it.

I first heard "Ode to Scruffy" on Sirius and the very next day on Dr. Demento. I had to download this ASAP or should I say ASPCA. I have played it for everybody and it just blew them away. It's a very sharp, smart, edgy, funny and catchy tune. I'm waiting for Brett's complete CD to arrive in the mail. Can't wait!
