ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"My intention today and everyday is to be passionately pursuing His presence. I desire to share my love for music, but more importantly, to share my love for the one who gives the music, Jesus." - Brett Rush

The passion of singer, songwriter, and Pastor Brett Rush is evident in everything he does. Perhaps this explains his accomplishments for the Kingdom in such a short time. He planted Shiloh Tabernacle, an inter-denominational fellowship, which he has been serving for the last seven years as pastor and worship leader. Brett confesses, "I was created to worship, and I am called to preach."

"These are an intentionally diverse and personal set of songs," confides Brett, offering his thoughts on his new national release, INVITATION. "I just speak from the heart, as the Lord speaks to me."

Brett's songs encourage us to recognize the unlimited resource we have in Christ. "This record is an open invitation to God to come and make a home in our hearts."

Brett credits Don Potter and his music for inspiring him to passionately pursue Christ. He also cites Mac Powell of Third Day and Jeremy Camp as primary musical influences. INVITATION is a pleasant blend of acoustic melodies, rock flavorings and stirring worshipful lyrics. Brett's dynamic voice, coupled with the studio direction of Nashville producer Eric Copeland (Creative Soul) and some of Christian music's finest musicians and technical folks, have resulted in an exceptional music and worship experience.

Outstanding mix for listening as well as material for corporate contemporary wor
Brett Rush Invitation (Creative Soul Records) Produced by Nashville-based Eric Copeland, this is an exciting release from worship leader, pastor and singer/songwriter, Brett Rush. The eleven-song project is an outstanding mix of songs for listening as well as material appropriate for corporate contemporary worship. Brett has led worship for seven years in the Shiloh Tabernacle interdenominational Christian fellowship, which he planted. As a producer, Eric Copeland’s work has grown, and has been enriched since his relocation to Nashville (www.CreativeSoulRecords.com). This CD features percussion by Steve Brewster, guitar by David Cleveland, and bass by Gary Lunn - who shows on several songs why he’s one of the best and most sought-after session bassists in Music City. “Fire of God” (leadoff track) is an interesting composite of production. It starts subdued in a mysterious 4/4, and grows into a strong, impassioned vocal chorus. It would be an outstanding worship song or offertory for Pentecost. “I Sing to You Lord” is a good singable song for corporate worship - as is “Wash Me Away” - which was my favorite on the project. The latter is ideal for “unplugged” acoustic production in worship, with hand drum and lush vocals. “Calm” is a great showcase of funky percussion, guitar, and great bass work by Lunn. “Yahweh La De Da” is a tight, hip, joyous tune that grows on you to the point of being irresistible, despite the tongue-twister refrain. Some good, energetic and heartfelt new songs appropriate for use in contemporary worship here. Information at www.BrushFireOnline.com

Just the touch I needed in my life right now.
This CD was just the touch I needed in my life. I was driving down the road one day and they were playing the song I Sing To You Lord on American Family Radio here in Arkansas and it truly touched my heart. Thank you so much for recording this CD. Continue the good work that the Lord has placed before you. May God continue to Bless you.
