Pure, unadulterated joy - in song(vocal)and instrumental style!

As a former professional acoustic bassist(toured with Tom Waits, recorded in studios, etc.)I appreciate good musicianship. The musicians on this cd are not only good, they listen and play the role of "accompanists" beautifully. And then there's Suzanne. Wow! What a voice! A voice can only sound like that when it's connected to a heart that's pure, kind and compassionate - and that's obviously where Suzanne's coming from! Awesome. A pure joy to listen to (headphones bring the vibrations even closer!)- over and over and over. If you need to sample a track, choose "Be," and just "let it BE!" To experience a healing, simply l i s t e n .

Suzanne...The Next Sarah
author: Maverick
This CD is only a taste of Suzanne Brewer's talents. Prone To Wander shows the diversity and range in her voice and ablity to write.
When we starting playing her song "David" on CD93 in Monterey/Santa Cruz, her song easily became the number one most requested song. And when she opened for bigger names in concert, she sold more CDs. I promise you this...Suzanne Brewer will be a big star. And Prone To Wonder is only the beginning.

With velvety, ghostly, airy vocals, like a cross between Sarah McLachlan and Norah Jones, Suzanne Brewer stirs Jazz, Piano Pop and Folk in a rich, sophisticated base of heartbreak, defiance, despair and poignancy. Her songs can be shuffley and lulling, they can turn the screw in your heartbreak and they can be a breeze through your hair when everything else in life seems to be ignoring you. Prone to Wander is a arresting album of subtlety and courage, softness and power.
