I was born in Yonkers, N.Y. Raised mostly in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State, I learned quickly to enjoy God's gift of nature and the country way of life.
I got my first guitar when I was 15 and taught myself to play. My first experience performing was in the church. Over the years I learned from watching, listening and stealing runs and licks from every guitar player I came across. Roger Miller and Dean Martin were on the top of the charts in those days. I really loved the "relaxed" atmosphere of their shows.
While I was in the U.S. Navy (SeaBees) I joined a Country band; "The Midnight Ramblers." The first song I sang with them was "Branded Man" by Merle Haggard. I've been under his influence (and others like him) ever since!
Over the years I've performed in bands, trios, and duos, but mostly as a soloist.
I've been involved in every aspect of the entertainment business. I've written and produced radio and TV commercials as well as country songs. I have produced and promoted concerts and special events. I have performed on stage with some greats in the Country Music Industry such as: Tom T. Hall; Buddy Emmons; Barbara Fairchild; Razzy Bailey; Johnny Lee and a host of others.
I have performed on three continents and in 14 foreign countries (so far). Past performances include places like: Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, Nashville, Tn.; The Red Dog Saloon, Juneau, Ak.; Ambassador Hall, Ottawa, Ca.; TV and radio shows too numerous to mentiion. I even performed "Happy Birthday" in a phone booth! From hay bales to cruise ships to tuxedoed events, I've been there!
