Album Notes

Cantaloupe Tonite!
A Souveneer Production featuring Brian Blaney, Fiends & Family.

This is an acoustic Americana & Old Time / country fiddle tune collection also featuring some fine original tunes:

The Union Creek or Appomattox Court House Dance by Brian - a banjo tune with Brian playing 4 hands of guitar, & 2 of banjo on Doug's banjo that's been in his family since Civil War times

Windmills- a free flowing finger style guitar & violin duet between Ann and Brian, also by Brian, Ann wrote the violin part (this one is as close to soft jass as Americana country allows)

And the title song "Cantaloupe Tonight" with an island flair features lyrics by Jim Bartz (assistant producer) and music by Brian.

The collection features some very fine and traditional old timey pieces such as St. Anne's Reel, Buffalo Gals, Colored Aristocracy, Rights of Man and includes Brian's four handed guitar version of the hymn In Christ There is No East or West in homage to the late great John Fahey & many more.....

All wrapped in a beautifully environmentally
friendly digipak designed by Ms. Susannah Bartz with additional original art by Jim Bartz.
