Album Notes

An acoustic-based rock musician hailing from New Jersey, Brian Colburn has been a mainstay of the NJ music scene for the past decade, and is currently making a name for himself in the singer / songwriter circle. Colburn's music is grounded in soaring melodies and memorable hooks, giving his music a cross-genre appeal.

Brian's influences range from: 90's rock acts such as Blues Traveler, Sister Hazel, Toad The Wet Sprocket, & Barenaked Ladies; Current acoustic-rock staples such as Jack Johnson, Eric Hutchinson, Jason Mraz, Virginia Coalition, & Donavon Frankenreiter; and timeless artists such as John Hiatt, Billy Joel, & Tom Petty.

Since 2007, Brian has released 2007's "Literal Fiction," 2008's "Time Marches On," 2009's "Life Happens," and 2011's "Better Days - EP." So far in 2012, Brian has released the digital singles "Enjoy The Ride" and "Literal Fiction (Revisited)," with more new music planned. Brian can also be heard on the Versailles Record's release of "Wicked Garden: A Millennium Tribute To Stone Temple Pilots," where he and DC Slater contributed an acoustic-reworking of the band's classic track "Unglued."

Brian has appeared as an opening act for Blues Traveler, Plain White T's, and Toad The Wet Sprocket. He's also shared the stage with acts such as From Good Homes and Hot Day At The Zoo. Brian continues to perform throughout the North-East, and hopes to expand throughout 2012.
