Album Notes

Originally from Seattle, Brian's music is spirited and engaging, accompanied by lyrics that are smooth
and authentic. A fun mix of vintage pop and indie rock have fused together in Fennell's much anticipated
release, "Safety Songs". The feel of the record ranges from upbeat and poppy, to slow and epic. From tasteful string
arrangements and warm acoustics to driving piano and crunchy electrics, Safety Songs has something
for virtually every listener.

Over the last several years, Brian has been playing an increasing amount of solo and band shows around
the greater Seattle area to an ever growing fan base. Playing large coffee shops to standing room only crowds,
or small bars to fifty people, he has been charming area audiences with his highly accessible personality,
entertaining live show, and powerful sound.

After recording his first full-length album, Fennell joined with three of his close friends to form a band. Still without a name, this band offers a powerful and high-energy live show, but still manages to incorporate an intimate singer-
songwriter quality that leaves listeners satisfied, but wanting more.

With a sound as multi-format as Brian Fennell's, the sky is literally the limit for him and his band in years
to come.

REVIEWS

Original, Unique, and Rockin'
author: Barcelona LOVER
To the reviewer below me. You should define "good" and "indie-pop" before you bring up Barcelona (the band that existed for two years in DC before breaking up). If you calling Brian an idiot makes you feel better after listening to how much better his band is than that old, dated, poser band from DC, so be it. You should listen to this Barcelona's music, go see them live, and speak with them afterwards. Do this before you judge them. But, until then, go listen to your idea of "good indie-pop".

Way to steal another band's name
author: Barcelona
Why didn't this idiot just name his band Pearl Jam or something? There is already a good indie pop band named Barcelona who have three CDs out. How hard was it to look on allmusic.com before you named your band?
