Tucked away in the soft rolling farmland of Southern Indiana comes a musical talent with his first solo release entitled “Country Boy Blues” from Brian Fink.” Now is his time to really shine”………….as one music reviewer puts it……….”it’s like Memphis collided with Nashville, blues, country and rock all met up and got intertwined. At the age of fourteen he began as a drummer, but the guitar held the magic for him and honed his skills on the road with touring bands from the deep South to the West Coast. Smoking guitar with a southern blend that is sure to make you stand up and take notice.
Brian Fink roars out of the gate with his first solo release, a seasoned performer and songwriter he shows off his talents in all areas on this debut CD.
A student of many musical styles over the years he can show his influences from Clapton, Hendrix and the Southern rock Gods of our time. Brian comes out strong showing his skills as a songwriter, producer, guitarist and vocalist in what is being hailed as a coming of age project.
This CD gives you just what you expect from such a seasoned performer. The lyrics are true stories from the heartland of America and the voice is true. If you looking for real honest music that pulls no punches and is sure to make you smile, Brian Fink has it all packaged for you.

Saw him in person
author: Jason Jackson
I saw him in Helena Ar recently with a group calle the Outhouse Ramblers. They played a couple of his songs in their set and it was wonderful. I liked the slide work in the live set I saw which was smokin' and I enjoyed the on stage banter between him and the other guitar player. I look forward to his next release and I would like to hear some deep blues from him.
If you want a fun, smokin, great CD then this is it.....remember pay attention to the lyrics he does tell quite a story.............

A satisfying mix of personal tales, cast in a variety of blues
author: Peter Cross
This is good blues - the kind that gets you up, not gets you down. The kind that sounds familiar but not like you’ve heard it before. With an occasional sprinkling of country and with more melody than normally found in your regular 12 bar blues, the album fairly swings and drives along.
Recorded in the secret music hotspot of Scottsburg, IN, Brian calls for assistance on bass and occasionally on fiddle, or for some lovely backup vocals. Otherwise, he looks after business on his own. That includes the song writing, lead vocals, harmonica, organ, drums and guitar. Especially the guitar, be it lead, acoustic, rhythm or slide. Most engaging of all are the storytelling and personal recollections that are conveyed with a warm charm. It’s tempting to list a number of witty lines that stick in the consciousness long after the songs have ended.
To convincingly pull off all that requires a few years of living, as well as mere talent. Brian’s paid his dues and now he’s able, qualified and ready. But although he stays true to the genre, there’s a refreshing lack of cliché in the choice of notes, musical phrases and variety of arrangements on this satisfying album. For the start of a treat, try the samples and decide for yourself.
