Album Notes

This was my second collection of songs after LATE NITE COMIC. Although I did not actually sing on it, I did produce and arrange the album with Jeff Olmsted. The immensely talented vocalists are Janet Kirker, Michael McAssey, Angela Warren and the late Larry Victor. A lot of the songs got covered by other artists such as the original Tokens and Lesley Gore. Tammy Quinn shows her wonderful vocal style on the last track. I am still very proud of this album.

REVIEWS

Moving and entertaining
author: Ida Tobias
I just got back from California, where I attended a cabaret show in which Brian Gari himself appeared. I was so moved by Amanda Abel's performance of the title song that I ran out and bought the CD the next day. Every song evoked either tears or laughter. I treasure the album.

Great melodies, insightful lyrics
author: Roger Schmelzer
There is no better song about the reality of losing a woman to another man than Face to Face. Brian captures the angst almost too perfectly. I also defy anyone to find better uptempo pop songs than If Our Songs Still Make It and I Want Your Boyfriend. This is just a terrific CD by one of the hardest working talents in show business today.
