Brian Hobbs is originally from Elizabeth City, North Carolina, but now lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden.
He has written for and produced many Swedish artists including: Monica Silverstrand, Mia Lofgren, Lutricia McNeal, Excellence, Jill Johnson, Style and others.
Brian is a keyboard player and attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. After moving to New York City Brian worked as an accompanist to cabaret acts and singers and wrote for the musical theater. His show "POE" - a show based on the life and works of poet Edgar Allan Poe, was given a staged reading at the Soho Repertory Theater in 1989.
This is his second instrumental CD.
"I grew up in Elizabeth City, North Carolina and was able to spend a lot of time on the Outer Banks during summers. Even after moving away, I am still drawn to this area. The history and legends of the Outer Banks have always fascinated me and this CD is the culmination of a life-long love affair with this area of North Carolina. My attempt with this album was to try and capture the natural beauty and history of this region through music in an impressionistic and cinematic style. I hope you enjoy it."

Lovely Jazz CD
author: Loretta
This is great music to relax to or have in the background while working. Very nicely done. Somehow, many of the instruments do give an impression of the NC coast and life there. Makes me want to go to the beach.

George Winston, with a touch of jazz!
author: Craig Crutchfield
This CD brings me back to the sand dunes of the Outer Banks. It combines George Winston and Wyndam Hill, with a nice touch of jazz. More relaxing than a margarita in a hammock.

Impressions of the Outer Banks is a "blue marlin" (for all you outer bankers). In Brain Hobbs' compositions you feel the waves and sea spray, shifting currents and scorching sands. It is a beautifully constructed homage to the outer banks of North Carolina.

I can't keep from listening to it
author: Mike Irvin
Having visited the outer banks on a number of occasions this CD takes me back in my memory and thoughts to that beautiful place and the good times enjoyed there. I play it at home and at my office.
