Album Notes

Brian Maes is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, Classical Piano Performance.
During the first year after our daughter Madeline was born, I was the stay at home, work at home, day care Daddy. I use to play the piano to sooth Madeline to sleep when she was restless. I noticed that certain melodic ideas worked better than others so one day I began to record each piece that she liked for 12 days in a row and the lullaby collection was finished.
Many of the parents who have found this music to work well at bedtime for their young ones, also find it very relaxing themselves. People have also described these pieces as "New Age" like in the moods and textures of tonal color.
I chose the Belgian translations for my titles to show my pride in my Flemish heritage and was assisted by my relatives in Belgium to make sure the language was correct.
