Album Notes

This record began as a pet project 5 years ago. I was inspired by the Indelible Grace project from Christ Community Church in Nashville. One of my co-writers on this record, Brian Moss, wrote the great modern hymn “The Church Is One Foundation” from the first Indelible Grace record.

As a result, There Still Is Room is a collection of 11 Hymns that I either re-wrote the meter, the melody, the chords or a little of all. Hymns were written for them to be sung with various tunes or have them re-written altogether and that is what I did.

I have some great friends on this record: Brian Moss, Jill Phillips, Roby Duke, Kenny Meeks and others.

Most of all I trust these Hymns will bring you hope and that what I did somehow helps draw you closer to Jesus.

Thanks for having a listen.

Hymns that kick butt!

The energy of this whole project is very inviting, it uplifts my mood to listen to it. The guitar work and arrangements are excellent, and there is nothing "churchy" or old-fashioned about this music; Oaks has successfully brought these hymns into the present day. I have known Brian as a guitarist, so it was a also a nice surprise to hear his vocals, which sound great.
