Alif Lam Mim - Raw! is Brian Taraz's first album released under his own name. You can search "Nahüm" on CD baby to see his other stuff.

This album is kind of like the Muslim equivalent of Christian Rock - songs inspired by the Prophet and the Book - except for Brian Taraz isn't Muslim.

The songs are easy to listen to with catchy hooks and they seem to speak beyond their particular source of inspiration.

With such lines as "if this Koran is a rockin' don't bother knockin'" this CD is bound to stimulate a little bit more than simple musical enjoyment.
