Album Notes

I began playing in a pop group in 1963 as a drummer /singer and moved onto a blues band in 1968 as a singer/harmonica player. I learn't to play the guitar at that time and played mainly covers of folk and blues songs and instrumentals.

From 1971 I began working actively as an artist using performance, video and music.

Working as one of the Kipper Kids from 1971 until now and as a solo performance artist since 1980, I have also collaborated and shared venues with Patricia Wells, Karen Finley, Johanna Went, Eric Bogosian, Alien Comic, Stephen Holman, Ian Hinchcliffe, Henry Rollins, Blue Man Group, Sex Pistols, Public Image, Throbbing Gristle, Genesis P. Orridge, Moodies, Anne Bean, Ethyl Eichelberger, Anne Magnusson, and Lydia Lunch among others.

I have performed all over the UK, Europe, North Africa, North America and Canada.

In addition the Kipper Kids have been involved in writing and starring in three projects for HBO and Cinemax and acted in a number of movies.

At the present time I am working with artist Patricia Wells on dark ambient soundtracks for Patricia's animations plus my own music. I write poetry and songs and put both to music.
