Your Light Shines is a song written from the prospective of a person who is having a talk with God and is explaining that even though sometimes it is very hard, they are trying to do the best they can to be more like God. They know God forgave all their sins and his light shines in them and that if they follow his word they will be better for it. Knowing that we can’t hide ourselves from God and realising that He knows who we really are, this person now fears of what will happen to everyone who continues to sin and ignore God, and worries what will be their fate on judgement day.
This song is really a message to try and help save those people we all know and love that seem to just go through life ignoring God’s word.
