In theory, Brice Miller is all about bringing businesses and communities together to add value, presence, and quality of life incentives that extend beyond mere brand recognition. In reality, it’s all about creating products and providing services that our clients thought weren’t even possible.

As a super in-demand trumpeter, performer, composer, and veteran award-winning K-12 educator with more than 12 years experience, Director of Jazz Education Programs for New Orleans Public Schools and programs administrator in corporate, non-profit and academic arenas, Brice Miller has spent his career facilitating beneficial engagement and understanding between institutions and communities – “bringing communities together through art and education.” Brice is Artistic Director of the Brice Miller Foundation and CEO of Brice Miller, LLC, where he coordinates initiatives that foster civic collaboration nationally and internationally. He is also CEO of Brice Miller Productions and Brice Miller Music Group, where creating hip music is their manistay.

Until September 2005, Brice was Director of Jazz Studies Programs for New Orleans Public Schools, where he oversaw program and curriculum implementation, community partnership strategies with higher education institutions, non-profits, and business diversity marketing efforts. In the collegiate arena, Brice was coordinator and facilitator for the University of New Orleans’ Louis Armstrong Quintet Program (2001-2005), where he created partnerships between the university and NOPS, wrote curriculums, facilitated student involvement, and oversaw daily program activities. He also created the Saturday Young-Jazz Artist program at Xavier University as a program consortium with the NOPS Jazz Studies Program, along with several other community, summer camp, and At-Risk Youth programs. His work earned him the moniker, “Mr. Go-Getter” by local education and business communities. Gambit Weekly newspaper named Brice one of New Orleans’ prestigious \"30 under 30\" leaders.

As an international jazz trumpeter and educator, Brice uses music performances as the platform to initiate exchange of ideas about delicate issues. “Music has a way of tapping into individuals emotions, and once you have an emotional connection you can understand and appreciate honesty without judgment or bias,” says Brice. He has provided cultural enrichment and diversity representation for three New Orleans Mayors, the Louisiana Governors Office, U.S. French Consultant, several dozen international agencies, and countless regional agencies. He has also worked with other world-renowned artist/educator/intercultural dignitaries including Wynton Marsalis. Brice hosted his largest community-togetherness effort to date in September 2007. The 1st annual Columbus Jazz and Blues Fest’ was hosted on the riverfront in Columbus, MS and was enjoyed by more than 6,000 people. He remains a highly in-demand consultant and program facilitator and also serves on several boards, committees, and is a member of numerous civic/community social and benevolent organizations.

The University of Alabama is privileged to bring Brice Miller on board; Crossroads Community Center is able to better exercise leadership on campus and in the community, leading cultural discussions associated with music, literature and art. National trends in the field of intercultural communication emphasize the Arts as opportunities for community building. The national Smithsonian Folk Life Festival and the local Culture Builds program of the Chamber of Commerce are just two examples of community discussions shaped by the Arts. Brice’s international leadership experience in music and community dialogue has allowed him to develop skills which allow university representation among community leaders. Further, his music expertise lets him connect with students in a meaningful spiritual space. The combination of leadership and listening found in Brice Miller are rare. They form the foundation for the work ahead for Crossroads.

Brice has a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration and Leadership from Xavier University of New Orleans, where he also received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. He continues to create art-based and at-risk youth programs and consults with community groups and government organizations on community-cultural relations, diversity marketing and other issues.
