Album Notes

A five-piece producing material in and around Machine 9 studios Thame, UK. The current line-up has been together for three months. Bridgefield has been writing for four years, performing locally and in London at such spots as The Garage in Highbury, The Halfmoon in Putney, The Rock Garden, The Bull and Gate in Kentish Town, Gossips in Soho, Last Rockers at Camden Lock, The White Horse in Wycombe and The Horn in St.Albans. The band is currently seeking a deal to allow them to concentrate entirely on making more great music.

The CD, entitled 'Another Day' features 12 astonishingly eclectic songs. Bridgefield pride's itself on its musicianship, song quality, tight and vibrant live act, and tops out with the incredible vocals of Louise Chapman. The music is sometimes funk, sometimes rock, but always driven by strident drum beats and bass riffs, not forgetting vocals, guitars and keys to die for.

Lyrics explore a diverse range of subjects; songs from the heart, expressing private feelings, but also off-the-wall subjects (Machine 9 - totalitarianism, Timeshare which will appear on the follow up to Another Day, is a shot at property magnates, Ascension - religious satire, Burning Sun - global warming) and speculate about what is going on in other people's minds (Staring At The Moon - schizophrenia, Counting Crows - emotional vacuum).

'Drop your jaw as their guitarist slams on his gangly, feedback driven, super-duper overdrive pedal and gives us what we are looking for in the "Slaying Ground".The fingers fly across the fret board in some of the most flamboyant rock solos I've heard in ages Yipppeee.... try and catch this band when they play near you' Tim Bearder BBC Radio Oxford

'Not only do they have the look, and the sound, but an unrivalled energy to match.....a refreshing new band Stuart Robb Jam Central Records
