Album Notes

The band is a female-fronted five-piece producing a blend of guitar and keyboard driven funky-emo-rock at Machine 9 studios, Thame, UK. Think Alanis Morissette, Garbage, The Cranberries, Echobelly and Blondie and you're on the right lines. The current line-up has been together only since the beginning of 2005, but Bridgefield has been writing as a unit since 2000, performing in the UK in and around London at such spots as The Garage in Highbury, The Halfmoon in Putney, The Rock Garden, The Bull and Gate in Kentish Town, Gossips in Soho, Last Rockers at Camden Lock, The White Horse in Wycombe and The Horn in St.Albans.

The breadth of song writing is borne out by the fact that four members of the band are contributing towards the written material. The style of the Bridgefield is then applied to each song in the studio so that the listener can at one time be listening to a doleful lament such as Counting Crows or I Believe In You and another time be listening to near-metal rock, as demonstrated in Runaway and Broken Heart, but is left in no doubt that each song has that Bridgefield edge.

Bridgefield are: Tola Lamont - Vocals, John Woods - Guitar, Rob Goss - Bass, Martin Kent - Keyboards, Kenny Stone - Drums.
