Album Notes

Bridges is an acoustic, folk-rock band composed of the best combination of young vibrant newcomers and experienced well-seasoned professionals. Lorie Bridges - lead vocals, guitar, and backup vocals has an amazing voice and though fairly new to the guitar and songwriting, she has impressed audiences with her style and delivery. Kenny Smith - lead vocals, guitar, and backup vocals, has been impressing audiences in and around Kansas for years. An experienced songwriter, his lyrics can lead you one minute to want to get on your feet and dance and in the next to contemplate why we are all here. Terry Proctor - bass guitar, percussion, backup vocals, has been playing guitar for decades and has been in several other projects with Smith.

He not only provides the steady driving beat for the bridges originals but is a mouth breathing, knuckle-dragging, unibrow. The newest additions to the bridges family are Wyndi Senogles on backup vocals and Jeff Adams on drums. The group purchased Wyndi Senogles, singer and percussionist, in an all-night Canadian brothel (She insists we call her “Pepper”). Wyndi brings to the group not only her warm genuine charm, but a good ear for harmonies . Jeff adds the beat that well rounds out the bridges sound.

In their first year at Winfield (2001), 'bridges' appeared on stage 5, stage 7, and on the closing night on stage 2 in a special review of 'best of campground'. Since then the group has been busy entertaining audiences at venues in and around northeast Kansas, in Springfield (opening for the hillbilly band 'Big Smith'), and at regional festivals and special events.

The groups debut, sef-titled, release [Sept. 2002] is comprised of 9 original tracks written by the groups two primaries (Lorie Bridges and Kenny Smith) and a cover 'Trash' written by Mark Bilyeu of Big Smith.
