Bridget Wolf is a singer/songwriter who loves to play piano, keyboards, hand drums, and other percussion instruments. She has performed on Cable TV in New York City on a program of "Music for the Earth", as well as in numerous cafes, coffeehouses, concert halls, churches, and festivals from coast to coast.
Bridget independently released her first album "Earth Song: In Beauty" in time for Earth Day 2000. This album features twelve original songs including easy-listening piano/keyboard instrumentals, similar to Windham Hill artist George Winston, some earthy folk ballads, and two earth chants with hand drum accompaniment.
Robert S. Powell, for the SOSOS Monthly Journal writes: "Bridget Wolf takes us back to a time when we danced with the spirits of plants and animals to welcome the seasons, to exalt in the light of the full moon and to give thanks for the elements from which we came--wind, earth, water and fire. Her phrasing tells of a time when we knew no rhythm so well as our own heartbeat. Wolf's sensual voice resonates with love in a range that expresses not only the maiden's laughter and the woman's confidence in the integrity of her art, it hints as well of her struggle to transcend self and reach beyond death. The fruits of Wolf's spiritual journey are planted in this album...Wolf's self-produced album is a truly joyful offering of heartfelt music. Her poetic confidence, the intensity and modulation of her feelings, her honesty and simplicity, her mastery of mood, her melodic invention are remarkable."
Pete Seeger writes: "Congrats on your tape (Earth Song: In Beauty). Sent it to Sing Out magazine. Pete."
The first track "Song of the Rising Sun" has been used numerous times on a cable TV program "BARK for Mt. Hood" in Portland, Oregon, thanks to the interest of Jim Lockhart. "Song of the Rising Sun" came to her soon after she returned to the Big Apple, where she was living at the time, following a Sacred Earth Network retreat weekend in upstate New York. Bridget writes:
"One morning I awoke with the dawn, and experienced a strange sensation, something I had never felt before, or since. I felt a movement of energy from my solar plexus, upwards; it was as if I felt the sun energy rising inside of me. I immediately went to my piano, turned on the cassette player, and began composing my "Song of the Rising Sun." I am deeply moved by this song and how it came to me. It pleases me greatly that more people get the opportunity to hear my music."

Excellent, as I've known for a long, long time.
I love you, Bridget. My daughter (from Colorado) is going to a Lakota Massage Therapy Course in Colorado where the Lakotas reside in the mountains. I can't help thinking about you when she talks about going. I think of you often, my dear.
