With her soulful vocals and honest songwriting, Brindl offers a unique style of alternative folk that is both timeless and modern, reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, Madelyne Peyroux and Eva Cassidy. Her twelve new original songs on Acoustic Heart mingle flavors of singer-songwriter folk, acoustic blues and sultry jazz. “Acoustic Heart is an album generous in its simplicity…”* her sparse guitar, layered harmonies and piano are seamlessly woven into each song.
Born in New York state and raised in California, Brindl left behind a career in film production to focus on songwriting and performing. Brindl has recorded and produced all her albums, keeping the sound true to her distinctive acoustic style. “I am inspired by the less-is-more, raw acoustic sound of artists like Iron & Wine and Patty Griffin.”
Brindl has toured from Seattle to San Diego and has played live on KWMR and KRCB. In 2008 she started her own label, Moxy Music, to release Acoustic Heart and launched MoxyMusicOnline.com with the mission to support independent musicians.
