The best way to describe our music is a blend of sophisticated Texas country and rock. The Texan musicians on this album are the best the Cowtown area has to offer. The horns add a touch of class to the rhythm and tempo of this album.

Album Notes

The Broad River Band is a group of session and performing musicians brought together by Cowboy Bob Fisher. The album was recorded at Crazy Pearl Studios owned by Big Dave Griffin in Waco, Texas. The mix was done by John Moore at the T Binzine Studios owned by Ty Fletcher in Bastrop, Texas. The recording process was very natural as the musicians have worked together for many years, a few of them since they were kids. The best part is that we are still learning from each other even after 50 years or more of playing.
The horn section arranged by Rick Stitzel (NTSU) and the director of the (Fort Worth Rodeo Band) is an added pleasure to the songs. His talent comes through in his playing as well as his charts. We were honored to have Jack Cobb (Guy Lombardo/Percy Sledge) play trombone on the tracks with Bill Tillman on sax (Blood Sweat and Tears/ Saturday Night Live). They really add to our music -- much like Skynard did. Hope you enjoy them!
