Brock Easterbrook began his entertainment career as an actor/stunt performer appearing on such TV shows as X-Files, Sliders, Outer Limits, The Sentinel, Two, Poltergeist, Stargate, The Commish. He also appeared in many movies including Mr.Magoo, Eddie Keating Story, Broken Trust to name a few. He has doubled and stood in for such actors as Tom Selleck, Jonathan Frakes, and David Hasselhoff.
As a child, Brock had aspired to be a singer, but took the visual media route instead until just recently….
This single song selection, which has a country rock flavor with a contemporary cross-over feel, is titled “When our idol was the King” and it takes us back to a time when we didn’t need to be told by someone else who was a great singer or made to cast our vote for our favorite after hearing them perform. Specifically it is a song about the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, but it also could apply to many other singers and performers from the past who came up through the ranks the old fashion way, in other words from the bottom up and not a quick pass to the top. Brock wrote this songs lyrics and the music was co-written by Bob Doidge and Amy King
Brock now is in the process of recording his first album with a selection of easy listening music and rarer cover songs that will be completed in the late fall of 2009. We hope you enjoy this first offering of “When our idol was the King” available exclusively only as a digital download.
