Album Notes
Broken Carousel blends funky rhythms with old school rock n roll guitars around big, harmony-drenched choruses. Singer/guitarist/songwriter Greg Bucking has traveled extensively with various musical projects, most notably his former band Mother Freedom. He has written and recorded two albums with Mother Freedom as well as the soundtrack for the indie film "My Brother Jack". Broken Carousel's debut CD "...your proven alibi" showcases the wealth of styles and sounds incorporated into the songs, as well as the far-reaching talent of the players involved. Bassist Ricardo Rodriguez, drummer Joe Beninati, and keyboardist Dan Nachimson are experienced players of the New York music scene and showcase their talents on the songs flawlessly, while Pandhora, Jaime Kozyra, and Oneleg Chuck lay down a soft bed of soul harmonies, resulting in a seamless mix of bluesy rock n roll and New Orleans funk.
