Album Notes

A few years ago Brooke began to learn to play the guitar with the purpose of putting her words to music. After falling in love with the acoustic guitar she began writing songs. It wasn't long before she released demos and EPs and started playing shows around her home town of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Now her first full length album "Memories In Melody" is released into the world for your ears. The CD contains 10 examples of Brooke's song writing. She absolutely loves what she does and it shows through in the emotion and meaning in her work.

Take a listen to the tracks available here on CDbaby.com and at http://www.myspace.com/brookeannibale.

Memories in Melody
author: RB
A strong dose of melancholy primarily due to unrequited love, this disc makes true the quote from that great philosopher, Linus (from the Peanuts comic strip), "Happiness is a sad song". Check "melancholy" in the dictionary and among the defenitions you find, "sober thoughtfulness" - a fine description of Brooke's lyrics. For example, "Heavy heartbeat and waves of insecurity are crashing down on me" from "Chances", "Why am I so afraid to lose something I never really had?" from "Afraid to Lose You", and "Catch me now before I hit the ground and crash. My heart is in pieces" from "Crash". Fortunately for the listener she also has strong melodies that compliment her reflective thoughts. This CD provides a delightful hint at even better things to come. Check out her excellent follow-up, "The Nashville EP".

Awsome
author: Chris Garrow
This is an awsome CD. It came in pretty good time. It's better than I thought it would be. It has replaced others that wind me down at the end of the day. The lyrics are awsome, and the singing is outstanding. Great music. Thankyou.
