    Brother Jay continues a beautiful tradition of inspirational melodies and ultra-Smooth Jazz on this latest project, WALKIN WITH ANGELS, his 5th to date. Written by Bro Jay “and God,” he calls this relaxed musical offering a collection of songs designed specifically “for your soul, life and our everyday existence.” Honestly, we agree… It’s easy to be a skeptic in this world, but when you meet someone as soulful and determined as this artist, the light starts to filter in… While WALKIN WITH ANGELS is not necessarily a religious album but it is elevating… “Inspirational Jazz” as Brother Jay calls it. He says that his music is not about any specific denomination or fire and brimstone, rather it’s about “peace and love and heart.” An elegant keyboardist, Jay has composed some extraordinarily stunning songs as we’d expect after raving about his last Smooth Jazz album, ANGELS IN THE ROOM. In addition to tasty instrumentals, Brother Jay lends his silky smooth voice to the title track as well as “I Dream of Heaven” and the Luther Vandross tribute “Take Me Home.” Stand out tracks for me include the dynamic “Walkin’ with Angels,” the jazzy “No Thoughts 4 Tomorrow,” the contemplative “Sincere Forgiveness” and the smooth and easy “Happy Days.” This is truly an album of joy filled with sweet, soulful music… a collection of songs that will not only relax you, but also put you in a positive frame of mind and uplift your spirit.
