Album Notes

Minister Stevie Tee born Stevie Tyrone Thompson one of eight children was born July 21st 1974 to parents Patricia A. Davis and Curtis Lomack of Tallahassee, Florida. Raised in the same city of Tallahassee where rappers T-Pain and Christian Rapper Pettidee were born gave him his musical influence. Minister Stevie Tee was named by his mother because of her love for two musicians music which were Stevie Wonder and blues singer Tyrone Davis. Listening to the music his mother loved gave Stevie interest in music. He then later entered the public music scene when his mother wouldn't allow him or his older brother go outside to play and Stevie wanted to find a way to meet new people. In 1989 Tallahassee had a rush of crack cocaine sales with drug dealers taking over his neighborhood so Stevie start watching the drug dealers and started wanting to be like them until the same drug dealers started playing mixtapes on their boom boxes. The boom boxes used to have have all the latest release songs mixed by the first D.J's of Tallahassee which were named D.J. Eric Balcom and D.J. Romeo. Stevie still wanted to be outside instead of being locked in his mothers house so at that moment Stevie who named himself D.J. Stevie Tee used records from his older brother Alonzo E. Davis and mothers catalog of records and talked over the records dissing D.J. Romeo and D.J. Eric Balcom so he could gain a name fast. It worked and Stevie had drug dealers coming by his window throwing rocks to purchase his mixtapes. He later ran into one of the D.J.'s he dissed and he told him that he heard his mixtapes and he thought they were creative but the other D.J didn't like it. Stevie didn't care and later started his own D.J. group called Jock Rock Express to compete with the new group that D.J. Romeo had joined called Rock Booty Express,D.J. Uncle Al and the Sugar Hill D.J's]]and Jampony Express D.J.'s. Stevie's group was started with his best friend at the time Marlon Nelson who was the cousin of D.J. Romeo and became one of Tallahassee's biggest D.J. groups which in 1993 was renamed to CitySide Express D.J.'s with over 20 d.j.'s and 5 rappers. Stevie was introduced to the club scene before starting his new group by Beatmaster Clay D who was one of Florida's #1 producers who produced for Luther Campbell. At that moment Stevie was running Baby rock Booty Express D.J.'s which were the junior division of the Rock Booty D.J.'s. Stevie started d.j.ing in many clubs through out Florida, Alabama and Georgia and got the name from his fans Baby Clay D which he used in the clubs and the summer park recreation outing Tom Brown Park which Clay D used to have Sunday family and friend block parties which were family friendly and had numerous officers from the Tallahassee Police Department on duty. From there Stevie was a celebrity to kids, teens and parents who began to love him and purchase his mixtapes which to date has sold over 1 million copies through direct purchases, statewide distributions and Regional Bootlegs. During it all Stevie had three daughters from mother Tammy Herring of Tallahassee, Florida. since he wanted his first child to be a boy and it wasn't he named his first daughter Steviesha using his name in it knowing that the name would be used for a future business that he would leave behind for all of his children. Stevie was arrested on his first ever domestic violence charge in 92 for attacking his daughters mother after she went into his mother's apartment and push his studio equipment down two stories of stairs while he prepared to go setup his local weekend record store at their local flea market. He boned out the next day while his best other d.j.'s ran his store.he was arrested on two other occasions from incidents with his children's mother. But things got better and Stevie signed a record deal with So Ruff'f Records and released his first album called "Play It Loud" using the name Makavelli II since at that time he had enemies in the D.J. game that was jealous of his rise. Stevie later started D.J.ing with a friend named Luck B and D.J. Demp who started the first teen club called Club Screamers. They all dj'ed at the Tallahassee's hot club "The Moon". Stevie later decided he was going to retire and spend time with his family so he started attending Keiser University and he also was a shift manager at Wendy's. He dropped out college after things didn't work out with him and his daughters mother and wind up having another child which was his first boy named Xavier Hope. He kept that he had another child coming from his first children's mother to avoid any fights and because he felt he didn't have to since his first children's mother told him to go and have sex with someone else because he wasn't going to get it from her. his second children's mother told him that she was going to have an abortion and he didn't have to worry about it but on the month of expectancy she told his first children's mother and his relationship was history and he was placed on child support. Stevie struggled to pay child support for many years after that but never understood how it worked which would cause problems later for him. In 1999 Stevie was still d.j.ing part time but held down a job at local restaurants and was having thoughts of being saved in Jesus Christ. He later met a young woman who he wanted to date and when he asked her mother she told him yes. when he went to pick up his date the mother told him the whole family all were going but he had no idea it was a church revival. On the 3rd night of the revival the Bishop stopped his sermon and looked at Stevie and asked him what was it he wanted since he felt Stevie had wanted something. Stevie approached the alter and told him while looking up like a kid that was pouting with his lips poked out and said that he wanted to be saved. Stevie was saved after that but had many sexual attacks and started to change the type of music he made while he started to straddle the fence. He started his first studio and worked on his second album which was entitled "Pray For A Cruel World" using the name Makavelli II for a second time feeling that the government was out for him. The album didn't sell well even though his oldest brother Alonzo E. Davis invested in to start the Record Label CitySide Records and publishing company Steviesha T. Publishing. Stevie signed his first artist to the label which was a 17 year old R&B local sensation by the name of LAMAR who was incarcerated for strong armed robbery. After the money invested in LAMAR went to waste after the project wasn't released, Stevie decided to go back to what gave him money and a name which was selling mixtapes. The record company generated a good gross during the 3 years he ran it until he had a hit put out on him after releasing a record in 2000 that dissed a local Record Company. After getting a rapper and local D.J. to investigate and stop it Stevie continued to sell mixtapes again but this time even harder. At that time he met his third children's mother Kiona Smith who had his youngest two boys Stevie T. Thompson Jr and Curtis Thompson named after him and Curtis being named after Stevie's dad who died when he was only 8 years old. Stevie remained in that relationship until 2004 spring where he was hit with a unexpected breakup which cause his engagement to stop. Kiona didn't allow Stevie to see his two boys for 8 months and put an injunction against him to try and take Stevie's kids away. He was then put on child support even after mailing several letters to her to care for his kids. To this day Stevie knows not why she did all the things she done to him. After he decided to take his life. His mother, friend, first children's mother aunt and mom couldn't change his mind. His first children's mother told one of Stevie's old classmates and D.J's what he was going to do and his friend named Roskii came and told him he shouldn't take his life because of a girl or because of child support. He told him to find another hustle and he did. He started a professional car detailing business called CitySide Car Grooming which paid him minimum wage but took care of his food, clothing, rent, utilities and child support. In 2007 he met another young lady that got him to visit her mothers church and when he did they visited a church in Chicago where they had a Women's Conference to play music. The band had a time where they had to tell all about themselves and when Stevie stood up he told them about his incident in 2004 and that he was saved and baptized in 1999 but didn't know what way to go. The focus of the conference shifted towards Stevie and all the women prophetess, pastors and other leaders prayed over him and told him to meet God half way and God would show him the rest of the way. When he got back to Florida he told God that he surrendered and that God could use him and within a week he was led into music ministry preaching the Gospel through Christian Rap. When he recorded his first song saints told him that his Christian Rap was different from all the others. Stevie didn't understand because he never heard Christian Rap but when he listened to others he knew why because he was speaking scriptures from the Holy Bible and breaking it down just like a Pastor would do. He soon broke off his relationship with the female that led him to the church and the church itself. He was led to use the name Brother Steve and started his own music ministry where he ministered in churches in Tallahassee and released his first album called A Million & 1 Souls Saved Volume 1 which is selling on numerous digital sites including iTunes. He started a radio ministry and had five physical followers that assisted him as disciples but many more on the internet. Less than a year into he released his ministry's second album under the name Brother Steve - A Million & 1 Souls Saved Vol. 2. Since then he has received his license to preach and has started his own online church, Church Of Truth And Spirit which is in over 200 countries and has over 800 digital faithful members. When starting the church he met a woman online who later became his wife. God had spoke to him in 2007 and told him to seek his wife in order to fulfill his mission which turned out to be the enemy fooling him. His ex-wife Ertha Thompson had him arrested by calling the police on him after a argument in South Carolina. The cops were called a second time and this time nothing at all took place and he wondered why did his wife do such a thing even after he showed and told her in the bible that it's a sin to put the law in Christians business to settle disputes. He got incarcerated but bond out the next day and found out that the officer filed a false police report in Holly Hill, South Carolina. He tried to get it dropped at the preliminary hearing but the judge and officer was playing rough with him. Stevie began sending out messages to his e-friends on 24 social networks to pray for him so that the case would get dismissed. After his Church's book ministry division paid for an attorney and getting numerous prayers while going on a 9 day fast , the case was dismissed. Since then Minister Stevie Tee aka Stevie T. Thompson is now focused on his ministry completing the will of God by ministering the word of God through music, preaching, helping others and through eBook releases internationally.
