Album Notes

A musician from Canada, who has been playing guitar and writing music since his mid teens. He grew up in Southern Ontario Canada, then moved to Alberta, after finishing high school. His first job was at a brewery where he worked for almost 3 years. It was at this time that he bought his 1st acoustic guitar, taking it with him everywhere he went and recording demos of his music, whenever he had some extra money.

After university, he started playing live clubs and bars across Canada. Most of the songs he was playing were cover tunes, with a few originals thrown in. It was after a few years of playing covers, that he decided to record his own material and put it out independently. He decided on a studio in Hamilton (where he now resides) called Grant Ave. Studio.

Grant Ave Studio , renowned for artists such as U2, Gordon Lightfoot, Prairie Oyster to name a few. Dan Lanois ( producer of Bob Dylan, U2, Peter Gabriel, fame ) once owned it. The CD took approximately 3 1/2 years to complete since Bruce financed the project himself and is known to be a little particular when recording. The CD "I'm Almost Listening " is a mixture of many different styles of music. Probably the best category.... if there is one for his music would be to classify it as Canadian folk rock with a hint of Celtic influence.(Must be his Scottish background).

In the year 2001, being in his thirties, Bruce has his first CD released. According to those who have already heard it, it was well worth the wait. Although being released independently, there may be a label in the future. He is presently working on a two music videos and an independant movie. If you would like more information on Bruce, or dates in which he will be playing in your area, please e-mail your request to:
