Album Notes

Brulée is composed of Julie Weiner and Doug Onstad. They have performed extensively in the San Francisco North Bay Area for the last several years. This is their first album. It is a combination of classic American songs, both interpretations and originals. They affectionately call this amalgamation - Jazz with a Twist. For this CD, they have been fortunate to have several very fine musicians play with them. Included on the album are: Tom Shader, bass; Chip Trombley, percussion; Ian Scherer, guitar; Gus Garelick, violin; Dennis Hadley, accordion; David Scott, tenor sax; Jess Petty, flugelhorn; Daniel Celidore, oboe; Alec Axt, percussion. Phyllis Onstad composed the lyrics on Miracle of Love, Perfectly Flawed, and New Beginnings. Todd Straus composed the lyrics for Si C’est Un Oui. Gabriel Fraire composed the lyrics on Dance With Me. Julie handles the vocals and Doug does keyboards and vocals. HOPE YOU ENJOY THE JOURNEY!
