My husband has been a pastor for over 20 years now. Even after my husband and I leading worship in churches for over 17 years, God has given us "new eyes" for a renewed vision for ministry. Why? Because my husband, Mark, almost died in the summer of 2002, right after recording this single. Me being 35 and having three children under the age of 11, it was unbelievable. God basically healed him when we were given no hope. He gave us His miracle healing to show us who He was! His diagnosis was severe acute pancreatitus. Hope is very powerful! I can't imagine someone who has lost all hope! When we were in ICU for two weeks, I witnessed family members and friends of other patients with no hope, no strength to cling to, to help to get them through such a crisis.
This solo CD is intended to revive your spirit. To remind you in this crazy world that you have worth and you can have hope. No matter what you've done or what others have done to you, you are unique, you are special, you are loved and you are forgiven! The concept in this song has so much healing to offer to each of us. (There is an accompaniment track included if you would like to share this message personally with others in song.)
The link "Michelle's Website" takes you to FullValue Ministries. This song was totally inspired by God to compliment FVM before my knowledge of the ministry even being created. The penny concept was presented at a Christian women's retreat and then God breathed this song into my heart immediately and amazingly. I had never experienced anything like this before. This CD was initially only created for a conference surprise gift in response to the retreat. Please check out the website link to hear more about the awesome message of "The Penny".

What a powerful song! I love to listen to it over and over, and each time that I do, it's meaning drills deeper and deeper into my heart. This song challenges me, not only to see my own value, but to look deeper for the value in others. I would strongly recommend this song, for your own personal listening pleasure, or to share at your church worship service. Michelle has a beautiful singing voice, that you can listen to over and over.

What a great message! We all matter in the eyes of the Lord.

I was given a copy of Penny in the Road as a gift. As the Lord usually operates in my life, it came at the exact moment that I needed to be reminded of the message that the song contains. With all the sin in my life and the self indulgent feeling that I fall short everyday of God's glory I am reminded again -this time in song that nothing that I can do will allow me to escape God's grace. I just need to brush myself off and continue to follow his plans for me. How wonderful to know that although it may seem sometimes that the world is against me that God is on my side and that is more than enough. Thank you for reminding me of that Michelle and for writing such a beautiful and meaningful song of love and inspiration right when I needed it the most. God Bless you.
