Album Notes

Whether it is driving folk dance rhythms, spooky waltzes and polkas, or exotica from the far side of the world, The Brunos deliver living history, and traditional tunes from around the globe all with their own California spin.

It can be circus music, pirate music, music for a masked ball or a rowdy Morris ale, and it will make you want to dance, the way people have danced for thousands of years.

This tight-knit band, composed of members of the glorious Pipe & Bowl Morris Men,
have been playing together for more than a decade. They are:
Alex Bernstein - whistles
Jay Doane - fiddle
Brad Dow - flute & clarinet
Tim Meighan - cittern
Dave Uebersax - sackbut
Jude Darnell - fiddle
Larry Klein - octave mandolin
Brian Dallarmi - fiddle
Kevin Hughes - mandolin
Kevin Patrick Fanning -field drum
Jason Adajian - D/G button accordion

The CD also features George Winston playing harmonica on
Off to California & Ramblin' Sailor, and his solo harmonica
rendition of Hey Diddle Dis.

Good songs, good performances, good CD. Only cavil: the drums are mixed a little loud (for me). Pleasant songs to have running through one's head. Recommended.
