Bryan Akipa a memberber of the Sisseton Wahpeton Dakota Sioux Tribe is an alumni
of the Institute of American Indian Arts Santa Fe New Mexico, served in the US
Army, at the University of South Dakota studied painting under Professor Oscar
Howe attained a BS in ELED became an elementry teacher, and is now a full time
preforming / visual artist, substitute teacher. Bryan a premier Native American flute
player has toured Western Europe, Scandinavia, the Middle East, Japan , and the
USA. In addition he is known for his superior craftmanship of red cedar flutes.
Bryan's art and music is a living experience in the Traditional Arts.
