Bryan Austin is a singer-songwriter born and reared in St. Louis, MO where he first started to develop as a singer. Bryan later moved to Los Angeles to expand his artistic development. In Los Angeles, Bryan studied under Dini Clark who coached such talents as Al Jareau, Roberta Flack and Peobo Bryson) and under Bob Corff (1st Jesus in the Broadway production of Jesus Christ Superstar). Some of Bryan's Los Angeles successes include a brief contract with Redd Foxx Productions, appearances at the Comedy Store, Sahara Hotel - Las Vegas and many other venues. After 17 years in Los Angeles, Bryan returned to his native St. Louis where he worked with some of St. Louis' finest musical talents, e.g., Oliver Sain and Ike Turner.
Bryan has recorded for over 20 years, is recognized internationally and is often compared to some of R & B's best (Eddie Kendricks, Smokey Robinson, Stylistics, etc.).
The son of a Baptist church deacon, Bryan now resides in Kansas City, MO and has become very active in his church (St. James United Methodist Church). This motivation has inspired Bryan to reach back into his roots to develop his Christian, Gospel music and he believes that since he's gotten back to his roots, he's been blessed to grow from a person who sings well into a Singer. Bryan's 3-1/2 octave range is a real treat to the ears. This CD, "Thankful for the Dream", provides a tool for Bryan to sing praises of thanksgiving to the Lord. Don't miss it - check out Bryan Austin!!!!
"I would to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for blessing me with this dream; and for the new birth and direction of the dream. I would like to thank my lovely wife Sharon for her tireless devotion and support. Thank you Rev. Vernon Howard, my personal pastor and good friend for the opening prayer. Thanks also to my senior pastor, the Honorable Rev. Emanuel Cleaver, II, (U.S. Congressman) for your constant encouragement. Much love and thanks to the brothers and sisters of the Wednesday night services at my church (St. James United Methodist Church) for allowing me to serve as the featured singer for well over a year now and for allowing me to grow. Thank you Norma Latini (pianist extraordinaire) for your hours of direction and rehearsal time. Thanks to Crossroads United Methodist Church for allowing me to serve and really encouraging me. To all my family, friends and all those around the world who have supported my music."
Much Love,
Bryan
P.S.: Many thanks to Rev. Kevin Amos (my spiritual father & good friend) for getting me back on track and to Mr. C. Rudy Workcuff (my mentor & good friend) for keeping me on track.
Michael W. Crowley says,
"Bryan Austin, is one of the most refreshing, soulful gospel singers, I
have had the pleasure of listening to. His version of "His eye is on
the Sparrow", all I can say is WOW. He presents songs, that you have
heard before, in a style that turns the ordinary into, "Ear Candy". It
makes you want to sing along."
Bryant Austin----Thankful For The Dreams
A well rounded CD beginning with a prayer from the able Rev. Vernon P Howard to start the album on its way, then Bryan Austin picked it up with some great songs.
His Eyes Are On The Sparrow - Mellow, angelic and realistic.
Thank you Lord - Rhythmic, powerful lyrics and wonderful vocals.
The Lord's Prayer - Always a favorite that Bryan more than hold his own vocally with a together background.
Every song is competitive and especially good for those who wish to meditate with the Maker and comfort their spirits. The Music Is Awesome!
My personal rating from 1-10 is 9.

My Brother and Friend.
As I listen to this CD's words, music and the ministry that reaches the
soul, I can't help but give praises to the Lord and for the encounters
with the Holy Spirit. The soothing and inspirational anointing that the
Spirit stirs inside provokes a peace and joy that is difficult to
describe with words. During moments of meditations while driving, in a
service or even in quiet places, as you listen in the presence of the
Holy Spirit, healing, joy, peace and many of God's promises reach out to
you. I've often said that we should continue to dream dreams because
dreams do come true.
This musical CD and the special blends project that God's people should
keep hope alive and keep the faith. The Lord is true to His promises and
faithful. That is the way we should be also. This CD reminds us of
Christ's Love and His presence in our lives in many ways as we journey
through and over troubled waters. Traveling through the storms of life
helps us to realize that Jesus is the answer. We are reminded that we
have a special friend like no other in Jesus Christ. We are then able to
appreciate the old rugged cross in a calming way even though it probably
was a somber time at the cross. An when those moments find me and tug at
me when I might feel alone, I'm reminded of the Lord watching over a
sparrow and He and the angels watching over me. Your music can reach
were
others don't. I believe that the Lord has put together the perfect
blends
of folks and music. Your gifted and anointed vocals are perfect examples
of how the Lord can take natural talent and turn it into something
special. Allow Him to continue until He completes His perfect works in
you.
My friend, I pray that you continue to spread your wings allowing the
Lord to be the wind beneath your wings, continue to trust in the Lord as
He births new things inside of and through you, continue to dreams those
dreams, and then continue to bless others where the Lord leads you on
your life's journey. Take time to enjoy your journey. I'm thankful for
you dream. I have shared the music with others and some pastors and they
really enjoyed it. It has been a special blessing that our paths have
been allowed to cross and I can see His smile. May He continue to bless
you and yours and forever and keep you in His loving arms and care.
May the Lord Keep You and Bless Your Life In A Special Way.
May the Lord Embrace You In His Loving Arms Everyday;
May the Holy Spirit Always Abide with You when You Pray.
For A Lifetime,
C. Rudy Workcuff

BRYAN AUSTIN
Bryan has a dream. Actually he has so many dreams that you could call him a full-time dreamer in music. How else do you explain that his first album on his own Art-Tist Records was called Still Dreaming, the second one was titled Can't Stop Dreaming and now this latest one is named Thankful For The Dream?
In reality Bryan with his 3 ½ octave range is a highly competent singer and capable of creating captivating music, which, mind you, can make a listener dream. Thankful For The Dream is Bryan's first inspirational set - you can purchase it on www.cdbaby.com/bryanaustin3 - with a choir backing him up on many tracks and with quite skilful programming throughout and even with some real instruments in the mix.
Following the opening sermon by Bryan's personal pastor, Rev. Vernon P. Howard, there's a vocally fascinating and truly touching version of His Eye Is On The Sparrow. Thank You, Lord - lyrics by Bryan himself - is a swaying slowie, whereas Center Of My Joy is a devout, melodic hymn. The Old Rugged Cross and What A Friend We Have In Jesus are in the same bag, while The Lord's Prayer and Bridge Over Troubled Water lift the intensity still a step higher. Jesus Is The Answer is a like a sophisticated 70s soul ballad.
Bryan's music is thoroughly soothing and beautiful and ideal to those, who like their gospel slow and intimate; or just wish to enjoy classy singing.
