Album Notes

Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Bryan Benner began his love affair with the arts in the fourth grade when he was asked to play the role of Macbeth in a condensed middle school production of Shakespeare’s famous tragedy by the same name. He went on to play the lead in five more Shakespeare production before he reached high school. During this time, Bryan began taking voice lessons at the Master Class Academy where he also continued his acting training. Soon after Bryan started at the MCA he was asked to join the vocal studio of the Central Florida Lyric Opera’s head maestro. Here he began what was to be an endless journey into the voice. His study under this particular teacher was cut short however, by an offer of admittance from the Idyllwild Arts Academy high school vocal department in Southern California where he was a graduating senior at the time "Ship of Dreams" was released. Of these four years Bryan spent three as a classical guitar major under the tutelage of Michael Kudirka. Bryan began combining his voice and guitar playing into songs only a year ago after discovering his muse deep in the Costa Rican jungles. Though he intends to continue his songwriting career, Bryan has recently accepted a full vocal scholarship at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland.
