Album Notes

Roots Music Review - "Nebraska House” contains sixteen great tracks that will give you hours of listening pleasure. Clark’s musical style does not belong to any one genre. Not only does he transcend genres from song to song on this album, Clark sometimes does the same thing within the same song – a nifty talent and difficult to pull off as seamlessly as he does. Clark has a rich, smooth voice that punctuates his talents as a songwriter. Lyrics are well-penned, well-sung and often profound.

EAR magazine: “A truly unique artist. His ability to mix and transform genres is a pure delight for the ears.”

All Music Guide: “Bryan has engaging warmth in his voice. He sounds like a bluegrass singer and not some Buzzcock from the bay area”

Guitarnation.com: ”Thoughtful & introspective lyrics that thoroughly engage the listener. Jazz phrasings, bluegrass flatpicking, Dobro, blues, acrobatic rhythm guitar playing - Bryan does it all with a grace & fluidity that is pure poetry.”

Guitar Player magazine: "Bryan Clark has a jazz-funk sensibility akin to Hollywood studio cats like Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton, and Steve Lukather. An understated composer with echoes of vintage Pat Metheny, Clark exploits space and timbre in his long, modally tinged, melodic passages."

Daily Texan: “Bryan Clark is a rising star to watch…. Carrying the torch for the new generation of Texas singer songwriters”

Listen.Com: "Bryan's influences are wide ranging to say the least. Classical meets improvisation here with no genre (inc. rock and bluegrass) left unexplored."

Bryan has performed with the Dixie Dreggs, Bonnie Raitt, Lisa Loeb, and jazz greats Larry Carlton, and Scott Henderson. He also was awarded the 2002-2003 Bonnie Raitt Endowed Scholarship and has performed in the Los Angeles Jazz Festival for the past three years. In addition to ESPN, his music has been featured on the History Channel, and the Food Network.

Bryan’s bluegrass quartet – Honeywagon – was signed a 4 album deal with CMH records. Their first 2 releases “Grass Stains”, “Green Day, Blue Grass” have received critical acclaim and spent over 70 weeks on the Billboard Magazine Top 15 Bluegrass Chart. the group’s third CD “Sympathy for Bluegrass: a tribute to the Rolling Stones” is available at CD baby and iTunes now!

Excellent! I do recommend it to everyone. Smoothly crosses genres.

Great CD. It is worth buying just for the bonus track, that is not mentioned, but is on the end of the cd. Each song is well put together with lyrics and music to create a nice flow and mood. I can't pick a favorite song, I like 'em all. Cd creates a scenario even though the songs are each so individually distinct.
