notes
"His music is brilliant, with catchy guitars and sampling tunes mixed with his nice voice, which I can compare to the famous "Thom Yorke", but with his own character." - Yurie - UNSIGN.NET
"Sleeping By A Wire is for the downtrodden and, somehow, for the triumphant. I say this because of the inspiring feeling such a complete album brings the listener. Eich notes these songs took 12 years to finally finish. I assure you, Sleeping By A Wire was well worth the wait.

"Eich's self-released disc, "Sleeping By a Wire," is a collection of dreamy, well-crafted ballads that ought to give John Mayer, James Blunt and Dashboard Confessional a run for their money. At the same time, there are enough rock crescendos and quirky rhythms to keep rock fans on their toes. Eich, a 25-year-old singer-songwriter from Mineola, is sensitive without being smooth, romantic without getting gooey - a winning combination" - Newsday by Rafer Guzmán
"Hard to believe this is his first album! He sounds like a seasoned professional - hooky, solid songwriting, nice arrangements & production, original vocals, quality musicianship." - Indie-Music.com
Bryan Eich, born in Queens, NY
After grabbing a guitar at the age of thirteen, self taught Bryan has since poured his energies into a wide variety of material inspired by bands such as Oasis, Coldplay, Radiohead, The Beatles and Travis to name a few. He has one of the most honest and sincere voices out there. With infectious enthusiasm evident in his tracks Bryan says: "What I love most about what I do is taking the challenge to stay original and to keep growing as a songwriter. I want my first album to come across as a celebration of life... feelings that everyone goes through when they live, love, and lose"
-Review-
I love music, a great variety of music. So when I joined MySpace last month I was slightly interested with the barrage of musical spam launched within my first few weeks. Mildly entertaining at first, it soon became tiresome. And slightly depressing: All that talent jostling for their first break, a sad reminder of the fact, for every successful individual, there’ll be a thousand more left with shattered dreams. This shouldn’t bother you too much, if you have a professional head on your shoulders. I now delete these friend requests without hesitation, although one slipped through the net, on purpose. Bryan Eich.
Something compelled me to listen to his music. Curiosity or intuition I’ll never know. Within the first listen of each of his tracks, I realised I’d enjoy more. Polished, well produced tracks with depth and scope, each I’ve heard so far are melodic with obvious thought, care and an attention to detail that comes from the passion of one’s craft. ‘Head Hangs Low’ actually bounces along with the exuberance of youth, shows he can sing without the over reliance of post production technology. ‘Lost’, ‘Somewhere Along the Line’ and ‘One That I Like’ all have a mature sound with almost cinematic qualities. 'Time Will Come Over You', a thought provoking tune with quirky qualities that stay true to its mood, adds to the growing collection. All songs so far prove Bryan's words '.....none of them come out of nowhere.....' are completely true - all adhere to his individuality.
They paint a vivid picture, with a wide variety of layers which will be revealed on a good quality music system. I love tunes which do this, reveal more hidden depths in their production upon each listen. I’m looking forward to an indulgent hour of interesting music. The guy has my support.

author: Mary Ann NowakCan't believe that little kid who grew up on my block, who my kids watched when he was little, is making this beautiful music. I'm so proud to know you. I've got two copies of the CD and am sharing them with all my kids. What a beautiful style you have. Best wishes ... Go all the way!
Finally....a musician with refreshing music.
author: Anthony B.Finally, there is a refreshing sound out there . "Sleeping By a Wire" is one of those rare, brilliant albums that you can play from start to finish over and over again without skipping between songs. Each song evokes certain emotions from the listener which allow for an amazing experience. I can't remember the last time I actually listened to a whole album from front to end without stopping. Bryan uses his song-writing skills to make amazing songs that are catchy and beautiful. 5 Stars all the way.

Bryan Eich can challenge the big guys
author: Newsday (Newsday.com) - Rafer Guzman'I have been living on L.I. my whole life," Bryan Eich wrote in a letter that accompanied his new disc, "and whenever I say that I am from around here I tend to get asked if I play emo music. This is not the case." That's for sure. At the same time, there are enough rock crescendos and quirky rhythms to keep rock fans on their toes. Fans of deliciously hooky Britpop (by way of Brooklyn) have a new best friend in
author: Jeff GilesFans of deliciously hooky Britpop (by way of Brooklyn) have a new best friend in Bryan Eich, whose debut, Sleeping By a Wire, just landed at CD Baby. It’s so new it hasn’t even hit iTunes yet, but even if you normally prefer downloading to buying silver platters, you may want to make an exception in this case. The album’s that good. I, for instance, am not generally a fan of Britpop — deliciously hooky or otherwise — but I’m powerless against Wire’s charms. And my stereo? She wants to have Bryan Eich’s babies.
Yessss. finally!
author: Greg L.I have been waiting to get this cd for like a year now, and it was worth the wait man. haha This stuff is brilliant dude! The words and the way you sing it sounds amazing. Get this stuff out there, the world needs it!
Completely perfect
author: LauraI bought this cd a week ago and I play it in the house all day long. Every song sounds more and more incredible each time I listen. There is obvious thought put behind this cd...something really great and different about it than most cd's you hear today.
His silky smooth acoustic pop songs are light and smart, while everything about
author: Blake Solomon - absolutepunk.netEich brings so much authenticity to his lyrics. He yearns and excites when the music dictates. Case in point, after he nearly gives up on everything with the line, “But that’s the way it goes,” I half expected the record to end. Each song is written and performed with so much heart; this must have been an exhausting record to pen. Sleeping By A Wire is for the downtrodden and, somehow, for the triumphant. I say this because of the inspiring feeling such a complete album brings the listener. Eich notes these songs took 12 years to finally finish.
