Album Notes

Nothing remains the same, ever.

The Lust E.P. evolved in the years that followed Bryan Free's debut album, "Poison I Drank From." As a songwriter, Bryan Free still combines piano and introspective lyrics. But now you hear aggressive beats and synth lines. They don't replace the saloon persuasion of the older days: they lie down with the flute and horn section.

The E.P. begins darkly, and quickly moves into a transitory space that speaks of Lust and Love, if there is any difference. Bryan Free examines our desire to kick at, embrace, and hate the world; then says "it's cool," and plays a waltz.

Nothing remains the same, ever.

Unique, brooding, sophisticated music combining electronic and acoustic music. Contemplative, insightful lyrics. Highly recommended.

It's great; there are some similarities to The Eraser, but Lust is more of a songwriter's album. Less neurotic and more personable and melody driven than Thom Yorke's solo album. Bryan is a quite talented chap; check out this & his first album too.

Lust is a great CD, currently the best thing I'm listening to. Better than Bryan Free's first album, Poison I Drank From, and that's saying a lot. I only wish it were a longer CD!
