ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
It all began about two years ago when Bryce MacEvoy starred in a high-school production of My Fair Lady as Freddy. His performance was filmed by Jon James, a local media guru. As a long time producer - it was a hobby he'd had for many years - Jon was intrigued by Bryce's singing ability and invited Bryce to record a track or two. At the time, Bryce declined, having nothing he was interested in recording. But, a few months later, Bryce had written a song on the piano called Already Yours and decided to call Jon up. They got together and hashed out a live recording of the song. From then on the two collaborated once a week - sometimes once a month, they were very busy - chatting, watching music videos on YouTube, nerding out about video games, ordering horchata from the nearby Mexican restaurant, and, occasionally, recording some music. This album is the final result of those many evenings, doing just what musicians do. Jamming out and having fun. Jon James and his studio have been nicknamed "The Shedd," without whom Bryce would never have gotten these songs recorded. Thus, Bryce MacEvoy + the Shedd proudly present: Something Funky. We cordially invite you to, Step 1: Plug it in. Step 2: Turn it up. Step 3: Get down.
