This CD includes some of my favorite music, and my most frequent requests. The title track, "Rose" was written for the harp it is played on, a beautiful Thormalen Swan Rosewood harp. "Planxty Kevin Rosenberry" is a memorial tribute to a good friend and fantastic trumpet player. It is paired with "The Wood Elves", inspired by characters in The Lord of the Rings. My interest in historic dance is represented by "Southwind" and "Irish Lamentations". Friends asked for a recording of some favorite hymns, and of course no harp CD could be complete without "Greensleeves", my second-most requested song. Want to know what the most frequent request is? Email and ask - you might be surprised (unless you are also a musician....).
For those who are interested, in addition to the Thormalen Swan I also used a Salvi Arion harp on this recording. I hope you will enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed the recording process!
