After six years in San Francisco, Brittany Shane has become a veteran of the music scene on the west coast. And as her soon-to-be released EP will attest, her music has matured with her.

Produced by Zack Smith and recorded in San Francisco, with additional sessions in New York and Los Angeles, Brittany's new music conjures ethereal and dreamy visions more so than the pop-rock vibe of her past efforts, but without losing the hooks.

Personal, but without pretense, Brittany's lyrics paint a tapestry of imagery. The arrangements feature an evolved direction from "Decked Out" (her 2003 release that was named one of the best local CDs by the San Francisco Chronicle, Aidin Vaziri), with pedal steel guitar at the forefront of the mixes.

"The songs lay on a bed of dreams. You might find yourself feeling like the characters in the songs and taking a wild ride through weather. Sometimes moving through darkness or rain, but always finding some kind of light to hold on to," she explained.

Brittany's CD was released in January 2007.
