Album Notes

What We Do is an EP of hard hitting honky-tonk hip hop, slow roasted over several years of live performance with the 7-Piece band that makes up B-Star. Full of energy and soul, this CD showcases the best of the B-Star sound, and covers the range of slow honky-tonk heartbreak to fast and furious country rap. With Rench and Veronica Dougherty on vocals, Michi Wiancko on fiddle, Po Dawg on guitar, Danny Miami on drums, gOAt on bass, Dolio the Sleuth on turntables, each track packs a tightly layered punch of funky and twangy. Features a little pedal steel playing by Brooklyn's own Nick "The Reverend" Dedring, and of course some special sauce of samples and beats by Rench.
