Mr. Hamm reports that it took 5 years to record, and it shows: these are mature songs, lovingly crafted and beautifully recorded. I really love the melodies, and the harmonies accent them nicely. The interplay of piano and guitar is smooth, effective and impressive. Christian music has a capacity to divide listeners into believers and non-believers, but I think this recording bridges the gap. Always hopeful, these songs are just really well done, and they inspire and enrich my life. This is a CD I feel really lucky to own.
