ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
When I started writing music back at the age of 13, I never would had dreamed I would've been
playing for 30 plus years. I can still remember the 5 string, out of tune guitar, having 2 Junior High
friends playing percussion in a small room and the first song I wrote titled, "Indian Girl". My God!!!
The lyrics was just as bad as the music but at that time within my early music career, I thought I had
struck it rich. After learning how to play the guitar a little more, both music and lyrics massively
improved. Songs like "Traveling Man, Summer Love, Party Tonight, and I Love You" caught people's
attention.
After graduating from Xenia High School in 1979, my music took a huge turn for the best. Starting
my first year in college, "Dr. Spaceman And The Crabs Band, American Grass", and songs from the
upcoming CD "Dawnstar" was written. My college life was never completely the same again.
In 1984, I finally decided to go into a recording studio for the first time and I met Jeff Friend.
He and Jeff Higgans told me to bring in 1 song and if I didn't like how they worked with me on that
one song, then there was no charge for their services. So I dug out this little song, which I thought
wasn't that good and presented it to them. The song was "Stargazer" and the song along with the rest
of the "Dawnstar" album exploded my music to a higher level. This kid was on cloud nine!!!
Realizing that I had to make a living and until I would get my big break into the music field I loved,
I played off and on while working a full time job. Still having the itch to play music, I decided to go back
into the recording studio to do one final show. "Friends, Family, and Farewell Concert", recorded at
Refraze Recording Studios in 1998 was planned to be my final chapter in music. Boy was I ever proven
wrong!!! It jumped started my music and that music ride has been going full force ever since.
In 1999, "Down To Earth" produced songs like "Fallen Rain Again, I'm The Spaceman," and my
dedication song to John Denver, "Johnny" were instant favorites.
In 2000, I decided to expand my horizons a little with the CD "Beginning Start" "White Dove and Rock
Inside Of Me Is Country" became instant fan favorites.
March 23, 2001, I teamed up with high school classmate Jeff Bottorff and we did a CD called "Raw",
which was recorded live. This show was very special to me due to all the proceeds of this CD went to
Children charities. This show marked the first time I played a 12 string guitar and this was going to be
a big factor within the near future.
In 2002, the CD called "Real World" was released and almost every song I played was with a 12
string guitar. Also this CD brought back an instrument that I loved for the first time since "Dawnstar" and
that was KEYBOARDS!! This CD produced songs like "Hello To Heaven, Dear Mom And Dad, and No One
Seen The Light". This CD is very personal to me and to this date, is still my most favorite release.
After some personal changes in my life, both bad and good, I started something out of the blue.
Recycling Aluminum Cans!! After finding out that the tabs from these cans could help a local children's
charity, I decided to use the recycled cans for a multiple purpose. 2 years of recycling produced the CD
"In The Can" in 2004. This CD took my music to such high levels, that I earned HMD Music Productions
Best CD, Best Single, and Album cover for 2004. Songs like "Life Will Go On, Memory In My MInd, Home,
Stranger, and In The Can" were instant hits.
Now we come to "Cover To Cover: The Greatest Hits". Now you see how this CD took over 30 years
to be released. Every song here has been a major part of my life and hopefully yours. So remember,
if you havea talent and believe in yourself, dreams can come true.
These songs are the best of my best and most requested whenever I am on tour. You, my fans kept
these songs alive and I have cherished every moment playing them for you. This is my way of saying
Thank You and giving you 1 CD of songs that you have always requested.
To all the possible new fans who is listening to music for the first, here is your chance to pick up one
great collections of hits that scan for over 30 years. The Best of My Best!! This is one CD that should not
be missed!!
