Album Notes

A few months prior to the recording sessions for “Desert Prayer,” I went through my record collection and considered my favorite albums. I attempted to focus in on specifics: What attracted me to a particular recording? Why did a particular record sound cool to me? What musical ingredients made it killer and indispensable to me?

I was mindful of these questions when I entered the studio to make “Desert Prayer.” I wanted a live band recording to capture the energy and spirit of the music. Fortunately, I am pleased to report that the whole experience of making this album went far beyond my expectations for the project.
