Buddy Baker was born in a small farming community in Alabama . At a very young age he had a love for music and knew he wanted to be a singer. Buddy first performed on stage at the age of twelve with the Peck Rowell band at the blue creek club located in Dadeville, Alabama. That gave Buddy his first taste of performing he knew then he wanted to become a performer.

Buddy formed his first band at age fifteen the band was called the misty blue band. He would perform the traditional country music of George Jones, Faron Young, Ray Price and Willie Nelson and others. While most teens bands was playing Rock music Buddy and the band would pack bars where they would play with that good country music.
