"Bud Melvin is one of earlier non-commercial GAMEBOY musicians from Chicago. He released first solo album including 10 tracks. Three of them are now available as online previews in MP3 format. Those songs aren't pure GAMEBOY songs, but be in organic harmony with his vocals/banjo/guitar etc., and resulted in a very unique aspiring works which show his sense of pop out of the ordinary. A folkish bossa nova named "Moonglow" is especially worth to check out. Curiously it might give you 60s pop feeling." - www.vorc.org
"Remember that Nintendo game Deliverance, where you had to run through a 2D-scrolling Appalacian landscape, avoiding toothless natives and navigating dangerous terrain? No? Well, ok, it never existed but the soundtrack does" - Modsquare.com
"Bud Melvin sounds like a Doc Watson video game complete with power ups and end screen songs..."

If you are looking for something fun and fresh, I would highly suggest getting this one. The novelty factor of gameboy mixed with banjo and faux old-timey vocals is alone striking, but it's important to note that many of the songs have a lot compositional rigor along the lines of the classical minimalists. Can't wait to hear what Bud does next!
