Album Notes

The artist known as Bugzy was born March 31, 1981, in Dayton, Ohio. He moved with his family to Sacramento, Ca at a very young age. With no real family background in music Bugzy unexplainably fell in love with the craft and began rapping and producing at 13 years old. From homemade studios in the closet at mom’s house to top-of-the-line recording facilities, Bugzy has come along way. Bugzy, then known as Lil’G, made his first professional appearance in 1995 on a local album called SMD: Sacramento’s Most Dangerous. Since then, Bugzy has made numerous appearances on albums by local artists and more recently, he has released five of his own albums in the last six years. Two of these projects were placed on consignment independently and the other three received international distribution. Bugzy has performed with such artists as the late great Mac Dre, Paul Wall, Brotha Lynch Hung, Turf Talk, Killa Tay, Andre Nicatina, Doey Rock, Tech N9ne, and others. The first single from the album No New Jack, “Can I Touch Your Braids”, has worked it’s way into the local radio station and has received quite a bit of attention from DJ’s, program managers, and fans alike.
